Use this page to find child and young people mental health and wellbeing services that can be accessed for support. These services are either commissioned by our local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group(s), local authorities or delivered by a well-respected national organisation. Each of the organisations listed below should be available free of charge with coverage across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
You can filter results by selecting only those categories that fit your requirements. In terms of ‘Level of Support’, we have tried to group services by the type of support activities provided.
'Advice' is the support of self-management and / or one-off contact.
'Help' is short-term outcomes focused interventions or treatment.
'More Help' is longer term outcomes focused interventions or treatment.
'Risk Support' is the management of risk and crisis response.
In terms of 'Service User', this reflects who can access the service. Please note that some services might meet multiple criteria. For example, an educator might access their school nurse for advice about a student, whilst a student might access their school nurse for general mental health advice or a time-limited intervention on a particular mental health topic.
If you are interested in local voluntary and community sector organisations that might be able to offer support, please visit and search the Voluntary Action LeicesterShire Online Directory. You can refine search results by district and audience (e.g. children aged 0-13, young people aged 13-19 or people with mental health needs).
